Some details about me and my vision
My life changed dramatically on day in July 1995, when I was sitting by the pool at my hotel in the Dominican Republic. I signed up for a "try dive" and suddenly a new world opened up for me. I was completely hooked and fascinated by this new world below the oceans' surfaces. I qualified as a PADI open water diver in 1997, and continued my training to become a Divemaster in 2001.
As I had always been interested in photography, it wasn't long before I was taking underwater pictures, initially on film with the trusted Nikonos V. I bought my first digital camera, an Olympus C-60 in 2005, but very soon upgraded to a DSLR with the purchase of a Nikon D200 which is what I still use. I have a trusty Subal housing, a variety of lenses and Inon strobes.
Luckily for me, my whole family has become interested in scuba diving, and we have passed many vacations visiting different Caribbean Islands and their beguiling dive sites. My favourite locations are Bonaire and Grand Cayman (especially the East Side) for their crystal clear waters, abundance of marine life and dedication to protecting their reefs.
